The correct option is A 1
$c o s A + {cos}^{2} A = 1 ⟶ (1)$ (Given)
$\Rightarrow c o s A = 1 - {cos}^{2} A = {sin}^{2} A$
$∴$ ${sin}^{2} A + {sin}^{4} A = c o s A + {cos}^{2} A = 1$
