$si{n}^2$$\theta$ + $co{s}^2$$\theta$ = 1 then ,

$si{n}^2$$\theta$ + $(12/13{)}^2$ = 1

$si{n}^2$$\theta$ = 1 - 144/169

sin$\theta$ = 5/ 13

Now tan$\theta$ = sin $\theta$/cos$\theta$ = 5/12
