Question

If 27+357+5=P35+Q, then what is the value of 2P+Q

Open in App
Solution

Given equation is 27+357+5=P35+Q

Solving the L.H.S.:
On rationalising, we get:

27+357+5× 7575

=2(7)235+3753(5)75

=12+1235

123512

Equating the L.H.S. with the R.H.S., we get:
123512=P35+Q

Hence, P=12 and Q=12.

Hence, 2P+Q=2×1212=112

2P+Q=12

Hence, the required value of 2P+Q is 12.
