Question

If 2cos(AB)=2sin(A+B)=3, find the value of the acute angle A (in degrees)

Open in App
Solution

2cos(AB)=2sin(A+B)=3:
cos(AB)=32 or sin(A+B)=32
cos(AB)=cos30 or sin(A+B)=sin60
AB=30 or A+B=60
Add the two equations:
2A=90
A=45
Also, AB=30
45B=30
B=15
