Since events E and F are independent, P(EF)=P(E).P(F)
Also their complements will be independent with each other.
So, E,¯F and ¯E,F and ¯E,¯F are also independent.
Also, in the fourth option, if P(F) is multiplied on both sides of the equation, we have P(EF).P(¯EF)=P(F) and thus, P(EF)+P(¯EF)=1, which is obviously true!
