Question

If f is a real function defined by f(x)=x1x+1, then prove that
f(2x)=3f(x)+1f(x)+3

Open in App
Solution

3f(x)+1=3(x1)x+1+1=4x2x+1

f(x)+3=x1x+1+3=4x+2x+1

Dividing we get

4x24x+2=2x12x+1=f(2x)
