Question

If f:R(0,2) defined by f(x)=exexex+ex+1 is invertible, find f1

Open in App
Solution

Let y=f(x)=exexex+ex+1
y1=exexex+ex=ex1exex+1ex
y1=e2x1e2x+1
ye2x+ye2x1=e2x1
e2x(y2)=y
e2x=yxy
Taking log on both sides
2x=log(y2y)
x=12log(y2y)
Now, y=f(x)
f1(y)=x
f1=12log(y2y)
f1(x)=12log(x2x)
