Solution

The correct option is A 3
f(x) = 2x - 5, g(x) = x + 2, and fog(x) = 5

fog(x) = f{g(x)}

fog(x) = f{x + 2}

fog(x) = 2(x + 2) - 5

fog(x) = 2x - 1

Put fog(x) = 5

So, 5 = 2x - 1

2x = 6

x = 3
