By inspection, we find that x=2 is a solution for the equation f(x)=0.
Let a=1213,b=513
f(x)=ax+bx1
Now, 0<a,b<1
As x increases, ax and bx decrease.
Hence for x>2 , f(x)<0.
Similarly,
As x decreases, ax and bx increase.
Hence, f(x)>0 for x<2
Hence, there can be only one solution for f(x)=0
