If f(x)=x+2+1log10(1x). Find the domain of definition of f(x).

Open in App
Solution

We have x+2 is defined for x+20 or, x2........(1).
Now 1log10(1x) is defined for log10(1x)0 or, x1......(2) and (1x)>0 or, x<1.......(3).
Combining (1),(2) and (3) we get the domain of definition for f(x) and it is
[2,0)(0,1).
