Given the equation of the ellipse is x2a2+y2b2=1......(1).
Now length of the latus-rectum is 2b2a and the length of the minor axis is 2b.
According to the problem
2b2a=b
or, b=a2.....(2).
Now eccentricity of the ellipse if 1b2a2=114=32 [ Using (2)].
