If fuses of 250 mA, 500 mA, 1 A, 5 A and 10 A were availble, which one would be the most suitable for protecting an amplifier rated at 240 V, 180 W ?

P = VI
I = P/V
I = 180/240 = 0.75 amp

The fuse wire which can withstand current a little more than 0.75 amp is the 1 amp fuse. Hence 1amp is the most suitable fuse.
