Solution

The correct option is C 2x3
We have,
g(x)=x2+x2 ...........(1)
12(gof)(x)=2x25x+2
(gof)(x)=4x210x+4 .............(2)

Therefore,
g(f)=f2+f2=4x210x+4
f2+f(4x210x6)=0
f(x)=1±14×1×(4x210x6)2
f(x)=1±(4x5)22
f(x)=1±(4x5)2

On solving, we get
f(x)=2x3 or f(x)=2x+2

Hence, this is the answer.
