Henle's loop is a U-shaped part of nephron. It starts at the end of proximal convoluted tubule and consists of descending limb and ascending limb. Counter current mechanism in Henle's loop and vasa recta helps to concentrate the urine. Maintenance of concentration gradient in the medullary interstitial fluid by the counter current mechanism helps in easy reabsorption of water and electrotytes from the filtrate. Therefore, if Henle's loop was absent from mammalian nephron, more amount of water and electrolytes will be present in urine.
