Solution

Reaction of Acids with Metals:

  • Acids undergo a chemical reaction with metal. This will result in the formation of corresponding salt and hydrogen gas.
  • Metal+AcidSalt+Hydrogengas

Chemical reaction:

  • When Iron (Fe) reacts with dilute Sulfuric acid (H2SO4), it will produce Iron sulfate (FeSO4) and Hydrogen gas (H2).
  • The chemical reaction is as follows.

Fes+H2SO4aqFeSO4aq+H2

Hence, the required product after the reaction is iron sulfate (FeSO4).
