Given,
(x+1x)2=3
or, x2+2+1x2=3
or, x4x2+1=0
or, x2=1±i32 [ Where i2=1]
or, x2=12±i32
or, x2=cosπ3±isinπ3.
Now cubing both sides we get,
x6=cosπ±isinπ [ Using De Movire's theorem]
or, x6=1.
