Open in App
Solution

Let length be 20

And breadth be 10

then length of a rectangle is 2 times its breadth

Area 200

Now length is increased by 20%

New length 20+20 x 20/100 =24

And breadth is increased by 10%

New breadth is 10+10x10/100 = 11

New area is 24 x 11= 264

Change in area 264 - 200 = 64

So overall area increases by 64%
