Given: LM ||AB
AL=x3,AC=2x,BM=x2,BC=2x+3

CLLA=CMMB
(By Basic Proportionality Theorem)

Adding one on both sides, we get

CLLA+1=CMMB+1

ACAL=BCBM

2xx3=2x+3x2

2x24x=2x26x+3x9

x=9 units

AC=2x=2×9=18 units
