If, log2x=12log2(x+2), find the value of x.

log2x=12log2(x+2),

2log2x=log2(x+2)

log2x2=log2(x+2)

x2=x+2

x2x2=0

Hence, x=1,2

But for, x=1;

LHS=log21 which is not possible.

Hence x=2 is required value of x.
