The correct option is B $6$
$log (a + 1) = log (4 a - 3) - log 3$
$log (a + 1) = log (\frac{4 a - 3}{3})$ ....( $∵ log a = log b = log \frac{a}{b}$ )
Since the bases of the logs are the same , then we can write
$(a + 1) = (\frac{4 a - 3}{3})$
$3 a + 3 = 4 a - 3$
$a = 6$
