Let Mass of water that rises in second capillary =M′
mass M=ρV where (V is volume) ∴M=ρ×h×A=ρhπr2...(ii)
From Eq. (i)&(ii), M=ρπr2×2Tcosθρgr=2πTrcosθg...(iii) ∵M∝r
