given,
tm=a+(m1)d=1n.......(1)
tn=a+(n1)d=1m.......(2)
1n1m=a+(m1)d[a+(n1)d]
mnmn=d(mn)
d=1mn
substitute value of d in eqn (1), we get,
a=1mn
tmn=a+(mn1)d
=1mn+(mn1)1mn
=1mn+11mn
=1.
