number of proton= 6
number of neutron = 8
mass of proton = 6 amu
mass of neutron = 8 amu
total mass = 6 + 8 = 14
now the mass of neutron s halved so,= 8/2 = 4
the mass of proton is doubles = 6 x2
new mass = 6x2 + 4 = 16 amu
% of increase in mass= 16 -14/ 14 x 100
=14.28
