Open in App
Solution

n(A)=26,n(B)=10,n(AB)=30,n(A)=17
n(AB)=n(A)+n(B)n(AB)
30=26+17n(AB)
30=43n(AB)
n(AB)=4330
n(AB)=13
We are given n(A)=17
or, 17=n(U)n(A)
or, n(U)=17+26 [Since n(A)=26]
or, n(U)=43.
