Equation of normal is y=mx2amam3
Put y=0, we get
x1=2a+am12;x2=2a+am22 and x3=2a+am32
where x1,x2,x3 are intercepts on the axis of the parabola.
The normal passes through (h,k)
am3+(2ah)m+k=0
Now m1+m2+m2=0; m1m2+m2m3+m3m1=2aha
m12+m22+m32=(m1+m2+m3)22(m1m2+m2m3+m3m1)
