Question

If one angle of a triangle is 60° and the other two angles are in the ratio 2:3,find these angles.

Open in App
Solution

Measure of one of the angle of a triangle = 60degree

Other two angles are in the ratio 2:3

Let the other two angles be 2x and 3x

So, we know the sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degree

then, 2x+3x+60° = 180°

5x+60°= 180°

5x = 180° - 60°
5x = 120°

x = 120/5

x = 24°

so, the measure of other two angles will be :-

2x =2×24 = 48°

3x = 3×24 = 72°
