If one pole of a powerful magnet is gradually brought towards a similar pole of a weaker magnet, the two repel each other , but when it is quickly brought very close to the weaker pole, the two attract each other. Explain why?

When the magnets are brought towards each other quickly, the weaker pole becomes induced by the stronger pole. This weaker pole become opposite polarity. So these two magnets attracts each other.
When the same thing is done slowly, the two magnets will repel each other from a distance. This will not allow the magnets to come any closer. The induction will not take place.
