The irrational roots of a quadratic equation comes in conjugate pairs. So, if one of the roots is $\frac{3 + 2 \sqrt{5}}{4}$ then the other root of the quadratic equation must be $\frac{3 - 2 \sqrt{5}}{4}$ .
