$f (x) = 4 x^{2} - 8 k x - 9 Let the zeroes be α a n d - α Sum of the zeroes = \frac{- b}{a} \Rightarrow α + (- α) = \frac{- (- 8 k)}{4} \Rightarrow 0 = \frac{8 k}{4} \Rightarrow 2 k = 0 ∴ k = 0$
