If one zero of the quadratic polynomial $${x^2} + 3x + k$$ is 2, then find the value of k.


Solution

Given polynomial $$x^2+3x+k=f(x)$$
Also, given that $$2$$ is one of the zeros of the polynomial.
$$\therefore  \ f(2)=0$$
$$\Rightarrow 4+6+k=0$$
$$\Rightarrow \ k=-10$$
Hence, the value of $$k$$ is $$-10$$
