In the given data set $105$ is an outlier.

The mean of the data set without oulier is
$(50 + 55 + 55 + 60 + 62) / 5$ $= 282 / 5 = 56.4$

The mean of data set with outlier is
$(50 + 55 + 55 + 60 + 62 + 105) / 6$ $= 387 / 6 = 64.5$

We can see on excluding outliers, the mean value of the dataset decreased.
