Given, R=P+Q
Q=RP
So, the above relation can be shown in the figure as
Resolving the vectors along the axes we get
|Qx|=25cos53+10cos37=15+8=23 N
and, |Qy|=25sin5310sin37=206=14 N
So, we have
tanα=|Qy||Qx|=1423
