If P(a)=2/3 and P(b)=3/4 and P(a intersection b)=1/2 then find P(a' intersection b') and P(a' u b')

Open in App
Solution

P(a') =1-2/3=1/3
P(b') =1-3/4=1/4
P(a'intersection b') =1-1/2=1/2
P(a'Ub') =p(a')+p(b')-p(a'intersection b')
=1/3+1/4-1/2
=7/12-1/2=0.083
