If p and q are in inverse proportion, then
xy = k (constant)
e.g. Let p = 3 and q = 4
Then, pq = 3×4=12
Now, p + 2 = 3 + 2 = 5 and q - 2 = 4 - 2 = 2
(p+2)(q2)=5×2=10
Hence, (p + 2) and (q - 2) cannot be in inverse proportion.
