The correct option is B $- 2$
Since, given three numbers are in AP, then the common difference between two consecutive terms will be same.
$∴$ $(p - 2) - p = 3 p - (p - 2)$
$\Rightarrow - 2 = 2 p + 2$
or $p = - 2$
