d(Q, R) = 12 units and d(P, R) = 30 units
From the figure,
d(P, Q) + d(Q, R) = d(P, R)
⇒
d(P, Q) + 12 = 30
⇒
d(P, Q) = 30 - 12

d(P, Q) = 18 units
