Before a ban, any govt. should think of:
Pros, Cons, Alternative routes that illegals use, how to shut alternative routes, what reactions will happen if such routes are blocked (because those who use such routes would sometimes have more power/access than the govt. itself)., only then a ban will be successful.
So a ban on plastics is not a solution, but the public must be educated properly to avoid plastic bags, alternative routes must be first shut down, incentives/collection kiosk must be setup where people can input plastics and get reward points directly linked with the aadhar card of that person which can be used in all shops, and various other channels like alternative bags, incentives/life time tax free for manufactures of degradable bags etc must be first launched before a ban on plastic bags is implemented.
