Position of B with respect to P is given as:
XBP=XBXP
+2=XBXP ....(1)
Similarly,
Position of C with respect to P is given as:
XCP=XCXP
4=XCXP ....(2)
substracting Eq.(1) & (2) we get,
6=XBXC
where we can write XBXC=XBC
XBC=6 m, is the required position of B w.r.t C
