If rational numbers are arranged in ascending order and every number is increased/decreased by the same number, then the order of the numbers does not change.
For example, consider the rational numbers arranged in the ascending order, as shown below.

Adding 2 to each rational number above, we get,
125(=2.4)<135(=2.6)<145(=2.8)
