Step 1: When resistance does not vary with temperature

Power dissipated by lamp,

P=V2R

If R remains constant then,

P1P2=(V1V2)2

Given,

P1=100 W,V1=220 V,V2=110 V

Then,

P2=(V2V1)2×P1=(110220)2×100

P2=25 W

Step 2: When resistance vary with temperature

On decreasing the voltage, heat developed in the filament will also decrease, due to which its resistance also decreases.

And as,

Power consumed by the lamp will increase

Hence, it would be greater than 25 W.
