Solution

The correct option is C singleton set
Δ=∣ ∣1111a1ab1∣ ∣=1(ab)1(1a)+1(ba2)=(a1)2Δ1=∣ ∣1111a10b1∣ ∣=1(ab)1(1)+1(b)=(a1)Δ2=∣ ∣111111a01∣ ∣=1(1)1(1a)+1(1a)=0
and Δ3=∣ ∣1111a1ab0∣ ∣=1(b)1(a)+1(ba2)=a(a1)
For a=1
Δ=Δ1=Δ2=Δ3=0
x+y+z=0,
x+y+z=1
and x+y+z=0
i.e. no solution ( RHS is not equal)
Hence, for no solution b = 1 only
