If sin A = squareroot^3÷2, then find the value of 2 cot^2A-1

sin A = √3/2
sin A = sin 60°
A = 60°
Now, cot A = cot 60° = 1/√3
So,
2cot² A - 1 = 2cot² 60° - 1
= 2(1/√3)² - 1
= 2/3 - 1
= -1/3
Hence your required answer is -1/3
