Question

If sinθ=35, then evaluate sinθ1tanθ2tanθ

Open in App
Solution

Given,

sinθ=35

We know that,

sinθ=oppositeSideHypotenuse

From Pythagoras theorem,

(Hypotenuse)2=(oppositeSide)2+(adjacentSide)2

52=32+(adjacentSide)2

(adjacentSide)2=259=16

(adjacentSide)=4

cosθ=AdjacentSideHypotenuse=45

tanθ=OppositeSideAdjacentSide=34

then

sinθ1tanθ2tanθ

=351(34)2(34)

=354332

=9201532

=1115×23

=2245
