If sinθ+sin2θ=1, prove that cos2θ+cos4θ=1

sinθ+sin2θ=1

sinθ=1sin2θ

sinθ=cos2θ............(i)

To find value of cos2θ+cos4θ

cos2θ+(cos2θ)2=sinθ+(sinθ)2.........from (i)

=sinθ+sinθ

=1 ( It is given sinθ+sin2θ=1)
