If sinxcosy=sinπ7 and cosx+siny=cosπ7 then find the value of sin(xy).

Given sinxcosy=sinπ7......(1) and cosx+siny=cosπ7 .....(2).
Now squaring (1) and (2) and then adding we have,
(sin2x2sinx.cosy+cos2y)+(cos2x+2cosx.siny+sin2y)=sin2π7+cos2π7
or, 22sin(xy)=1
or, 21=2sin(xy)
or, sin(xy)=12.
