sinx+siny=12.........(1)cosx+cosy=1.........(2)

Equation 1 implies:

2sin(x+y2)cos(xy2)=12.........(3) and

Equation 2 implies:


2cos(x+y2)cos(xy2)=1.........(4)


Dividing equation 3 and 4, we get, tan(x+y2)=12

Now consider,


tan(x+y)=2tan(x+y2)1tan2(x+y2)=2(12)1(12)2=1414=134=43



Hence, tan(x+y)=43.
