Any damage to the CNS can hamper many normal functions in the body.If a person receives a blow on the back, then it will lead to an impairment of cognitive abilities or physical functioning. It can also result in the disturbance of behavioral or emotional functioning. Cervical injuries often lead to quadriplegia (tetraplegia).
