if sound is produced through vibration,then why we do not vibrate wen we speak

When we speak vocal cords of our neck vibrate. Thus, sound is produced due to the vibration of vocal cords​. The effect of vibration of vocal cords is limited to neck only. Hence, we do not vibrate when we speak.
