If $\sqrt{2}=1.4142$ check whether $3+\sqrt{2}$ is rational or irrational? Give reason.

If $\sqrt{2}=1.4142$ then,$3+\sqrt{2}=3.14142$.so if $\sqrt{2}$ is irrational then $3+\sqrt{2}$ will also be and if $\sqrt{2}$ is rational then $3+\sqrt{2}$ is also rational.they both will be same.
