If Srikant drives at four fifths of his usual speed, he covers a certain distance in 3 hours more than the time he takes while driving at his usual speed. Find the time taken by him to cover this distance with his usual speed.

The correct option is A 12 hours
We know that
V=DT .............(i)

V = Usual speed , D = Distance and T = Usual time
As in given question,
V×45=DT+3 ...............(ii)

From (i) & (ii):-
DT×45=DT+3

4D(T+3)=5TD

4TD+12D=5TD

TD=12D

T=12 hours
